Prof. Dr. Onat Üzümcügil

Dr. Onat Üzümcügil was born in Kütahya in 1974 as the second son of a dentist father and a teacher mother. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education, he started his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1992.

After completing his 6-year medical education, he started to work at Ankara SSK Dışkapı Training Hospital in 2000 to start specializing in orthopedics and traumatology. He successfully completed the 4-year residency training program and started to work as an orthopedics and traumatology specialist at the Ministry of Health Istanbul Training and Research Hospital in the beginning of 2005 as a chief assistant.

Meanwhile, he worked at Diyarbakır Military Hospital for a year for his military service. After intensive clinical and academic studies at home and abroad between 2007-2012, he was successful in the associate professorship exam and received the title of Associate Professor. At the beginning of 2013, he started to work at Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital as a founding faculty member of Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine (English) for a new career start. Dr. Üzümcügil, who taught English to medical students at the same university for 6 years and continued his academic and clinical studies, was awarded the title of Professor in 2017.

Prof. Dr. Onat Üzümcügil , who is married and a father of two children, is particularly interested in spine, shoulder and knee diseases.
